The folks of Rabbit Foot come from all walks of life, from directors and producers, to animators and camera operators. But one core belief unites them in their mission to make a studio that's known internationally for its passion and integrity: every creative idea, no matter how big or small, is an opportunity.
At an early age, Jeff knew he wanted to be a storyteller, and he quickly found his voice by working behind the camera. Now an accomplished director, Jeff has worked with and trained actors for numerous projects. His ability to communicate and genuinely connect with people has been key to his success, and his films have earned accolades for their beauty and humanity.
Jeff has worked alongside many agencies, including McGarrah Jessee, DDB, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, The Richards Group, BBDO, McCann-Erickson, TM Advertising and GSD&M. But being the head of Rabbit Foot is his next big undertaking, and it's one that's bound to make for some great stories.
Meredith got her start in the TV and film biz in Los Angeles, working her way up from production assistant to feature films coordinator at 20th Century Fox. After a few years in la-la-land, she switched gears and honed her communication skills at a public affairs firm in Sacramento, CA, where she worked on statewide public awareness campaigns and helped get healthcare legislation passed.
Several years later, she began to miss her Texas roots and returned to Austin. When McGarrah Jessee, then a small agency of about 20 people, was looking for their first in-house agency producer, she jumped at the chance to build a new department and help the agency grow. Fifteen years later, she's thrilled to have the opportunity to do the same with Rabbit Foot.
Although the time was well spent working in the manic LA scene, it's good to be back home for this Austinite. With a strong background in design and motion graphics that spans over 12 years, Craig has run countless successful projects, large and small, with great enthusiasm and pride. He has an insatiable appetite for great design and an obsession with detail, making him particularly handy at crafting visual stories.
With a background in classical ballet, Lauren has always been fascinated with the art of motion. She got her start in LA working at MGM Studios designing and animating marketing content. Having experience in both the film and advertising business, Lauren has worked on a large range of projects as a designer, animator and art director. Her love for the craft constantly pushes her toward innovation in style and technique. Outside of work, you can find Lauren eating one too many gluten-free cookies, making balloon animals with her husband, and reading a good book.
A native Texan and graduate of Texas State University, Ryan is multidisciplinary in his approach, and draws from an extensive interactive design and development background. The results? Just some national award-winning creative work. But Ryan isn't just in it for the glory; he also uses his talents in pro bono work for local nonprofit and charity organizations.
Sam is a jack-of-all trades filmmaker, and got his first taste of the film industry as an extra in a fast-food commercial. Since then, he prefers to be behind the camera. Working closely with Jeff Bednarz for the last five years, he has done everything from being a production assistant to producing and directing on various projects.
Sam's credits include: shooting scenes while riding a rollercoaster, running along a beach while filming a beautiful model, collaborating on drone shots, and, of course, keeping pace with Jeff.
Born in Scotland, Nirav had a childhood full of fish and chips and bike rides. His life took an unexpected turn, though, when he and his family moved to Houston, where he stayed until he finished college. Nirav's first foray into the advertising world started at Lot21 in San Francisco, where he discovered his love of interactive design. And it's that love that eventually led to him being a part of the Rabbit Foot crew.
Gavin was born on the U.S.-Mexico border in Brownsville, Texas, but moved to Colorado for his formative years. There he developed a love of the mountains and hip-hop. He went to film school at the University of Colorado and learned early on that editing was his calling. After working in the Denver area for 10+ years he relocated back to the state he was born in. He misses the mountains, but not the snow!
Lauren was born and raised in Texas but always dreamed of working in production in California. In 2003, she moved to Los Angeles and started her career in television. As the talent coordinator for a one-hour PBS variety show, she learned the entire production process from initial concept to broadcast delivery.
In 2005, she ventured into the TV commercial world, focusing in post on high-end visual effects. In 2008, she went back into television as a post supervisor for Warner Horizon Television. Between TV projects she freelanced for several years all over Los Angeles, primarily working on commercials. In 2011, she returned to Texas to help launch a post-production company here in Austin. Lauren’s strong background in all types of post production makes her the perfect fit for Rabbit Foot.
